Anyway, he saw/heard 8 species of warbler and admits he probably missed some due to his not being able now to hear the very high songs. Birds include: Warblers: Yellow-rumped (ca. 100), Canada (2), Black-throated Green (1), Redstart (3), Magnolia (1), Ovenbird (6), Blackpoll (1), Yellowthroat (2). Others: Y-B Cuckoo (1), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (2), Scarlet Tanager (5), Baltimore Oriole (1), Eastern Wood-pewee (1), Ruby- throated Hummingbird (1). Again the most active area seems to be around the Nature Center, Stable, and woods there (not picnic area 17/18). Still 100s of Waxwings! We are doing this area for May Count so hope things pick up!
