The location often gets them but this was the best yet. They were on the east side of Western Rd about 100 yards south of its intersection with Thornton Mill Rd. If anyone wants a good look and listen, chances are they will stay a few more days. It appears the most direct route would be from the Shawan Rd exit west off I-83 to turn immediately right (north) on Western Run Rd , go about a mile, then take the right fork onto Western Rd and go about a half mile to just short of Thornton Mill Rd. (We approached it from a different direction, so I can't promise this will work, but it looks good on the map.) Our birding generally reflected the continuing dearth of migrants, but we did manage to squeak out 18 warbler species, with only one or two each of many, and 80 species overall in about 100 miles of driving. We also got a Least Flycatcher across from Pete's yard, which also had our only Swainson's Thrush, Bay-breast, Magnolia Warbler, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak, all heard-only unfortunately. Northern Baltimore County definitely has an adequate supply of Catbirds! (105+.)
