I don't know whether this is unusual or not. It was on the white trail west of the powerline, on the north side of the path just opposite the third wood chip pile. It must have ben singing from near the ground, for I never saw it even though it was close. There was also a Hooded Warbler (I believe, maybe a Magnolia) singing just below the overlook. Thursday evening I stopped by the overlook to listen for Whip-poor-will. At 8:30 sharp, one sounded off. Happy Mother's Day to all you moms.
