A good day for thrushes- 7 Veery, 4 Swainson's, plus half a dozen which whizzed through the brush too quickly for ID. Also, a nice group of sparrows in a small marshy area-- 1 Swamp, 1 White-Throated, 1 Song with very light breast markings (the face was a good match with the local Songs), 1 possible Lincoln's. The "possible" had a dark patch around and behind the eye, buffy breast, cocked tail. The quick look I had suggested an unstreaked breast-- so, I make no definite ID. Warblers were 1 BT Blue, 2 Magnolia, 1 Redstart, 1 Parula, 2 Ovenbird. Activity seems to picking up at Lake Roland; I think today's scheduled walk will find good birds.
