I was expecting a swarm of warblers to greet me. It was a nice little fantasy. I heard N. PARULA, C. YELLOWTHROAT, and was tortured by a BAY-BREASTED WARBLER high in a tree. Other highlights included BG GNATCATCHER, VEERY (heard), WOOD THRUSH, WARBLING VIREO, RED-EYED VIREO, ACADIAN FLYCATCHER, RT HUMMINGBIRD, GB HERON. Really disappointing ... I comfort myself with my warbler conspiracy theory -- they see me and run! Almost makes we want to take up tree-watching instead. grumpily, shireen -- Shireen Gonzaga Baltimore, MD whimbrel@home.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
