MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Today at about 1 pm, a Mississippi Kite was discovered at the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge Center "Central Tract" in Laurel, around the maintenance buildings, by Deanna Dawson and subsequently seen by myself, Chan Robbins, and many others including a visiting couple from Seattle. This kite, an adult, was under continuous observation until at least 5:30 pm. Meanwhile, the visitors, on their way to Annapolis, saw what must have been a different Mississippi Kite at the Severn River bridge on US 50, only about 15 miles away from the above-mentioned, at about 3 pm. This same couple had also reported a Mississippi Kite yesterday at Ft Belvoir.
