In addition to being a very rare bird for Garrett County, it was in strange habitat among mature hemlocks. Specifically the bird was near the intersection of Cheeks Lane and Herrington Rd., and also near the Swallow Falls store just 0.1 mi to the south. This is only 0.5 mi north of the park entrance at Maple Glade Rd.. Very strange - wish I had seen/heard it too. Please keep MDOsprey posted if you find this bird again.
