Here's an update since his last post: There were 2 singing male GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS at Kenilworth Park this morning. One even flew up to one of the goal posts in an effort to get some height. I saw what may have been a third GRASSHOPPER, but couldn't confirm that it wasn't one of the ones I had already seen. In addition to the WILLOW FLYCATCHER at KAG, there were 3 singing WILLOW FLYS at Anacostia Wetlands. All on the same territories as last year. Also seen at KAG were Gail and Barry. Don't know if they caught up with the Alder or not.
