Yesterday afternoon Gwen Brewer and I observed the bird between 3 and 4:30 PM when the rains came. I may have got a few photographs of this bird. It was not very cooperative for pictures but nice scope views are possible. The bird seems to have a territory of about 100 yards near Bluebird post #9 . It sang regularly in the afternoon and was easy to locate. See earlier messages on this bird for detailed directions. They are excellent. Other birds of note in the area included Cedar Waxwing, Blue Grosbeak, Prairie Warbler, all three mimics, lots of Chats, and a single Blackpoll . I did not look for the reported Lincoln's Sparrow but it could still be there.
