While I have occasionally seen postings that discuss the attributes of various pieces of gear, I have not noticed a discussion on the care of this gear. So, I would like to offer this subject for those who, like me, would like to keep their gear in good working order. Let me begin by asking a few introductory questions. 1. What is your favorite method for cleaning lenses? What method would you caution everyone to avoid? 2. Do you every need to grease you gear? (I imagine several of you probably have binos over 10 years old and have needed to lube them from time to time.) What type of grease do you use? 3. My glasses have never "fogged", but if they do, can any one suggest an efficient way to clear them? Please feel free to answer these questions or simply add to them. I look forward to your response. Best wishes and good birding, Van Cecil Bird Club __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
