Actually, we didn't see a great deal -- it started out well enough with good views of Grasshopper Sparrow along Oland Rd., also an extremely cooperative Willow Flycatcher just before the Monocacy River bridge on Lilypons Rd (coming from east) -- he was singing from the fence posts and telephone wires, fitz-BEW! over and over. Lots of Yellow Warblers, Purple Martins and Meadow Larks there as well. We didn't go into Lilypons because it appeared very busy (holiday and all). We then tried Cap Stine road and others for either Vesper Sparrow or Dicksissel, to no avail. Lots of the good fields which supported these species last year are -- this year -- in crops or have been recently cut for hay. However, these birds may show up when some of the fields get a bit longer and more "ragged." We may also have missed them as it was pretty windy but we didn't have a problem hearing the Grasshopper Sparrows so...
