Oh > boy! > We could not find the Curlew Sandpiper or anything else to speak of at Raymond this morning. The water was very high and the tide was low on the Bay. However, there was a different Curlew Sandpiper in the south end of Shearness, 100-200 feet past the curve of the road onto the dike. This was a bird in changing plumage, with the best color on two spots on the side near the front, very different from what we have heard that the other Curlew Sandpipers looked like. Water levels were high everywhere. -- Maurice Barnhill (mvb@udel.edu) Department of Physics and Astronomy University of Delaware Newark, DE 19716 ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
