Not a bad day- 45 species with the highlights being a LEAST BITTERN along the main dyke and a singing VEERY deep in the woods east of Sycamore Landing Rd. It is a little too early to comment on the abundance of most, but I have visited all three of the recent Willow Flycatcher areas without finding any. For the second day in a row I found an active Wood Thrush nest. Came back on the towpath from Sycamore Landing to the Horsepen Hiker-Biker. Found 6 singing CERULEAN WARBLERS and one late NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH which was also singing. One behavior note from yesterday- I found one PRAIRIE WARBLER singing from the overhead wires along River Rd. I don't ever remember seeing one so much in the open.
