Though most do appear as illustrated, I have seen others that do not quite match, but are obvious Blue-winged X Golden-wingeds. This April I found an obvious Blue-winged with one bold completely yellow wing bar, like a Golden-winged. I could find no illustration like this bird, but it falls into that same "varient" category. That's one of the reasons why I love the warblers so much! The neat thing about these hybrids, according to the book, is that they can sing the song of either species, or a combination of both! Call it a Shireens sub-species or a Gonzaga's Golden-winged (or a Bombay Blue-winged...).
