Right in the parking lot I got very good views of a Chipping Sparrow feeding on the ground. Then, in the scrubby, second-growth area, in addition to the usual Indigo Buntings, Prairie Warblers, and Common Yellowthroats, I was treated to great views of a singing Yellow-Breasted Chat at very close range. I then hiked into the more mature woods and got close looks at a curious Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, several Red Eyed Vireos, and a White Eyed Vireo. Then in a particularly dense area of woods, I heard a singing, and briefly glimpsed, a Worm Eating Warbler. And, in roughly this same area, I got very close to a Yellow Throated Vireo.
