Halpin" Subject: correction and additions to Little Egret message MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit My apologies to Barry for the typo; his last name is Cooper. For clarification-the Little Egret has 2, obvious, long plumes from the back of the head that can be seen from a distance, especially if there is a breeze. Found in a flock of mixed Snowy and Great Egrets. The Curlew SP (Port Mahon RD) was an adult in breeding plumage (the orange-red head, neck and breast) found in a mixed flock of shorebirds.
