I also glimpsed what might have been a Tricolored Heron. It was FAR away, and had its back to me. I noted the dark color, long thin neck, and a few reddish plumes. As I walked along a dike to get nearer, I lost sight of it behind some shrubs, and when I could see where it was again, it was GONE!!! I'd give this ID a 50% chance of being correct. A much better and clearer sighting was of a female Bobolink on Lily Pons Rd between rte 85 and New Design Rd. It was sitting on a fence post and allowed a very leisurely look. No Dickcissels, etc, though I did hear a singing Grasshopper Sparrow.
