Nancy and I went to Patuxent North Tract today in search of Dragonflies and
Damselflies.

While there we had the following birds:

Turkey Vulture    1
Mourning Dove    1
Northern Flicker    1
Acadian Flycatcher    1
White-eyed Vireo    3
Yellow-throated Vireo    1
Red-eyed Vireo    4
Eastern Bluebird    1
Wood Thrush    3
European (Common) Starling    2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher    2
Tree Swallow    3
Purple Martin    1
Northern Rough-winged Swallow    2
Barn Swallow    1
Carolina Chickadee    3
Tufted Titmouse    1
American Goldfinch    2
Northern Parula    2
Prairie Warbler    1
American Redstart    2
Ovenbird    3
Common Yellowthroat    1
Eastern Towhee    1
Scarlet Tanager    1
Indigo Bunting    1
Red-winged Blackbird    1

Dragonflies included:

Common Green Darner (numerous)
Eastern Amberwing (1 female)
Eastern Pondhawk (numerous)
Spangled Skimmer (several)
Calico Pennant (1 male)
Carolina Saddlebags (1 male)

Damselflies included:
Ebony Jewelwing (numerous)
