If you find yourself in Orlando on business or with a non-birding family, Orlando Wetlands Park near Fort Christmas is a delightful place to visit. I went down with my family to visit my mother, and the only attraction I took in was OWP. I was able to catch Sandhill Crane at the parking lot. Limpkin, stilt, wood stork, glossy and white ibises, three species of egret, four of heron, least bittern, amhinga and much more. I know Merrirtt Island and many other places are probably better, but if you are constrained to three hours including the trip, this is the best birding in the Orlando area. -- Pedro J.
