It was largely uneventful, but I did see a breeding plumage Horned Grebe in the water immediately behind the Rod n Reel restaurant. At the mudflats along MD 261, there were four Snowy Egrets, many Killdeer & Barn Swallows, and 1 Pectoral Sandpiper. Yesterday at Patuxent Ponds, I saw one female Hooded Warbler, one Yellow Breasted Chat, several Prairie Warblers, one Indigo Bunting, one Worm- eating Warbler, many Ovenbirds, and saw a family of Wild Turkeys (one adult with 7 or 8 young).
