The first clutch has already fledged, and hopefully, we'll have a second clutch this year. We've been noticing this odd behavior ... the swallows like to rest on ledges along our building, even on warm days. They press their bodies against the ledge, as if to maximize surface area contact. Does anyone understand this behavior? Is it a way to get rid of parasites, and if so, how would that work? Or is there something else going on? thanks, shireen -- Shireen Gonzaga Baltimore, MD whimbrel@home.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
