I'd be coming from Takoma Park area. The SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER is still being seen on its perch in Culpeper Co, VA. To observe it on its perch on an electric-line pylon, go south from Culpeper on US 522 for a little more than seven miles and then go west on Twin Mountains Rd (VA 647) for .3 mile [DeLorme 68, B4]). The bird sometimes wanders into the surrounding area.
