Along with a new birder named Denise, a gentleman Alex led us on a fine four hour walk that produced __ species. Alex, a seasonal naturalist at North Point, was very knowledgeable concerning the park's history and operations. A couple of Bob White (1m, 1f) crossed the road fifty feet in front us. We also had three more calling in the fields near the second parking lot. The Purple Martins (1m, 1f, 3im) perched in a dead tree above the nature center. Periodically the group would fly out and drink in the Bay. Orchard Orioles were all over the place. Other highlight are listed below: Cattle Egret (7); Blue Grosbeaks (1m, 1f); Yellow-Breasted Chat (2); Baltimore Oriole (1 m); Great Crested Flycatcher (2) Keith Eric Costly oriolekec1@aol.com Randallstown, BC ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
