In-Reply-To: Message of Tue, 3 Jul 2001 14:05:55 -0400 from Hi Kerry -- I have not seen as many reports this year from the S-T FC area (perhaps fewer people have been down there) but last year we had Dickcissel, Vesper Sparrow and Loggerhead Shrike in the area. The first two were along the S-T road, but further west. The shrike was closer to Rt. 29 -- I am afraid I no longer have the exact spot, but it was at a powerline crossing. Perhaps a post to the VA birdlist will get better info. It is a nice rural area with good fields, we also heard (but did not see) Bobwhite and Ringneck Pheasant while watching the flycatchers.
