Alder Flycatcher, Henslow's sparrow & Golden Winged Warbler - all possible this time of year in Western Maryland - would be life birds for me. And, too, I have neither heard or seen this year a black-billed cuckoo, a veery, a rose-breasted grosbeak, nor a mourning warbler. I am picking up kids at Frostburg State College at noon Friday and plan to spend Thursday night in the area. That leaves maybe 6 hrs of birding Friday morning. Claudia Wilds book gives directions, but the publication is nine years old. Maybe things have changed. I have seen few references to Finzel Swamp on MDosprey this past year. Does anyone have any suggestions?
