I could see it singing frequently, but the high pitched buzz is practically inaudible to my ears unless the bird was very close and pointing straight at me. Other birds seen during the 3 hours I was watching the sparrow included Prairie Warblers, Yellow-breasted Chats, Field Sparrows, Blue Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, White-eyed Vireo, and a female Summer Tanager.
