Here's where we found him today (July 7) ... [This adds on to the excellent directions posted on MD Osprey (and the VON)] ... When you come to Bluebird Box #9, continue past it. In a very short distance, the grass trail you are on comes to a "T" with another grass trail. Turn left here. About 30 feet later, you enter a zone of second-growth trees on both sides of the trail. This seemed to be the beginning of the sparrow's territory. He seemed to cover an area of about 50 square feet on either side of the trail. He sat up in the tops of these second growth trees (they are not very high) and sang regularly (but not constantly). Eventually this guy is going to figure out there is no mate around and move on ... or else we will have a new breeding species for MD !!! Hope this helps.
