He retired about two years ago. I believe he shows up in the Birds unit every once in a while, and someone there would know more details about his history. I haven't seen him in the last 3 or 4 years. "Bicknell's" thrush was a research topic of his, as was Western Screech-owl. Though I believe he lives in the DC area, I would never give out his home phone or address. Lumping the thrushes will have listers hunting him, and I don't mean with binocs and field guide.
