And I found four immature birds among the gull flock that settled on the = East flats as the tide went out shortly after noon on 4 July. These are the ealiest summer appearances of the species over the last few = years (during which I have been checking the location fairly regularly). = Kurt, myself, and others have had small numbers of Forster's Terns at the = mouth of Hunting Creek since 4 July, but I am not aware of other sightings = of Commons.
