I birded Triadelphia Lake Rd. Saturday AM and had what I first thought to be a Hooded Warbler, chipping and carrying on beside the road as though young birds were nearby. It turned out, upon a better look, to be (the most beautiful male) KENTUCKY WARBLER that I've ever seen. It had the darkest and most extensive "sideburns" of any Kentucky I've seen, very handsome! Also had good looks at Blue-winged Warbler, and an Ovenbird with a juvenile in tow, a few Prairies, Common Yellowthroats, Yellow-breasted Chat, N. Parula, and 3 Black & whites. At home in the AM I also had Yellow Warbler!
