(in Montgomery County near the Howard County border), finally a friend and I heard one calling this morning in an uncut field here. We stopped at both Pigtail and Big Branch in Howard County looking for shorebirds, but found none (other than a few Killdeer). Did find a Red-shouldered Hawk family at Pigtail, but not much else. We made a quick stop at Patuxent River State Park on the way back (in Montgomery County) where we found a Blue-winged Warbler family right by the parking lot.
