One adult Bonaparte's Gull seen flying at north side near the flats (driving eastbound toward Essex) around 8am. Possible same bird spotted again around 4pm while headed home (westbound) with a couple of Laughing Gulls flying around the flat. On the beltway north crossed the Back River (north of Rt 150 bridge), several hundred gulls, mostly Ring-billed Gulls, and some Laughing Gulls on the flats. Yesterday, one Snowy Egret seen on a dead snag at the flat while driving north on the beltway. Had anyone recently seen any bonie at Back River this summer. This is the first summer record for me. Anybody who had been to Diamond Point Rd can try for better view there, instead of driving and looking over the bridge.
