The front left pond, which is the traditional shorebird pond, had muddy edges. On 8/1 and the week preceeding it there were small numbers of Least sandpipers, one or two semi-sandpipers, and the usual solitary sandpipers and killdeers. Easton WTP - 7/25 Checked two last ponds as you drive down the WTP road and they were full of water. Mallards were only birds seen. Caroline Co. - Kibler Rd pond - 8/5 Had 100+ or - peep: most were adult Least Sandpipers, several juvenile Least Sandpipers, several adult Semi-sands, several adult Western sands, several adult and juvenile Pectoral sands, handful Lesser Yellowlegs, Greater Yellowlegs and many Laughing Gulls. Cedartown Rd. pond, Worcester Co - 8/4 Lots of vegetation grown up around and narrowing circumference of pond, but still good water. Not many shorebirds - Solitary sand., Greater yellowlegs.... Vaughn North - 8/4 Saw no shorebirds in walk around, not even Yellowlegs.
