The area around bluebird = box #9 has dozens of sparrows, most immature, but they all seem to be = field or chipping. Still in that area are orchard orioles and blue = grosbeaks. In the area near the birding information bulletin board I heard = a Chat, first one I've heard in a couple of weeks. We also have a small wetland mitigation pond near the gravel trail heading = away from the pavilions. Earlier today there were two solitary sandpipers = in it.=20 On another note, I am leaving Kinder Farm Park shortly. I have accepted a = position as naturalist with the Audubon Naturalist Society and will begin = working there in a couple of weeks. I'll still bird and lead walks at = Kinder on occasion and will post anything of note I find out here in the = future. I'll be signing off mdosprey from this address this weekend and = will sign on again at another address soon. Hope the weather cools off for all of you in Salisbury this weekend!
