This bird was on tidal flats in the Anacostia River in the Anacostia River Park. I first found it at about 7:30 am opposite the large Navy battleship. Rob Hilton, Lisa Shannon & I later relocated it at about 8:15 am on another flat a little farther up the river (but still in the park). This bird was a fresh-plumaged immature individual of the "Western" subspecies. Good birding, Paul Pisano Arlington, VA cheep@erols.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
