We where unsuccessful at relocating the Ruffs. There where however, two upland sandpipers very far back. The birds I saw first were exactly as Fred described them, behavior and all. There were a flock of 20 Canada Geese in the field, which had moved across the field in the time that I was away from the farm. Perhaps the birds flew then, or were just hiding in the taller grass. Along with the Upland there were numerous killdeer, some Least Sandpipers and lots o' laughing gulls.
