It was by the side of the road, did a u-turn and briefly observed it again before it few off. Am familiar with this species from Georgia. Other highlights or a trip from Bombay Hook to Cape Henlopen- Bombay Hook- Flock of Bobolinks near visitor center Quite a few Avocets Watched a fox play with a large rodent, was able to drive up right next to it. Not much between there and Cape Henlopen. An Oystercatcher on the bayside of the point. Dolphins on the ocean side. A large flock of Brown-headed Nuthatches in a mixed flock of nuthatches, chickadee, pine warblers and several downy woodpeckers. No titmice in the that flock, isn't that unusual? Was on the Nature Trail across from the Nature Center. The real highlight was an incredible, I mean incredible, number of dragonflies on the 'parade ground'. The entire field was thick with them and there were clouds of them over a wet ditch. Also present were 10 Black-bellied and 25 Semipal Plovers.
