Do you have a recent update about or from Greg Miller. I have not heard from him and dont even know whether he received my e-mail which I may have sent to the wrong address. Please let me know BTW I think this is the 3rd or 4th RBNU sighting this season can the crossbills be far behind. St. Mary's County, 8/23 I was just out in the yard at 6pm putting out a gallon of water over our drip bath when I heard a strange buzzing sound nearby. I assumed it was one of the hummers waiting for me to vacate the area so they could go back to the feeder about 10 feet away. When I looked up, there was a male Red-breasted Nuthatch on a pine branch about 3 feet from me! It tried to land on the sunflower feeder twice then went up into the oak over my head. I left hoping it would find the suet but I haven't seen it since. I wonder if this might be the start of an invasion of RBNUs? I hope so! Good Birding!
