He just received the results of the bone marrow biopsy yesterday which showed he is totally clear of cancer at this point. He is still in chemo, and will be for several more months. Complications abound, ranging from inexplicable infections to mouth sores, to back pains and liver damage, but Greg's spirits are high, his family is tremendously supportive, he values all contact with friends, and he's optimistic about the course of treatment that he has elected to follow. When he's out of the hospital, he's birding in OH. He told Tyler that if the recent whistling duck sightings had been more positive, he would have made a trip out for that bird! Greg has a website that he tries to update daily with health news. He has started including whether he is home or at the hospital for each daily update. That url is: http://members.self-serv.net/hawkowl Greg's email addresses are hawkowl@yahoo.com or hawk-owl@yahoo.com Tyler and I are leaving this afternoon to drive out and visit Greg, who is back in the hospital in Columbus, OH. We were (selfishly) lucky last time to have a great visit with Greg when he was feeling well and hope to have (again, selfishly) another good visit tomorrow. Today is a gift; that's why they call it the PRESENT. --=_ALTIGENCOMMUINCATIONS3720-- ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
