Mark's write-up about the Lark Sparrow he found on 8/24 caused a bit of deja vue. On October 3, 1998 I photographed an immature Lark Sparrow in with a flock of Field Sparrows in the very same area Mark describes. Up the shell road and past the phragmites, but not as far at the track that leads west to the duck blind. When flushed, the Lark Sparrow went its own way, but when things settled again, it rejoined the Field Sparrows. I recall Eliott Kirschbaum also saw a Lark Sparrow in that area at one time. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
