Warblers, Vireo and other Fall migrants are our quarry. When we get to the Hawk Watch, the 2001/2002 Hawk Watch Season will officially commence. As for Spring migrants, they've already started. This weekend I've had Canada Warblers, a Black and White Warbler, Northern Parulas, Redstarts, a Red-breasted Nuthatch, Common Yellowthroats and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers in my yard. A brief stop before they were headed for Turkey Point. Meeting Place: Elk Neck State Park, Turkey Point parking lot. Time: 8:00 am (half day). Suggested equipment: bug spray (for ticks), appropriate inclement weather cloth. Conveniences: trees and a possible Port-a-Potty at the Hawk Watch. Admission: None. Questions or directions: call or email Sean McCandless - 410-392-3407 or mccandlessmkd@hotmail.com Thanks - Parke. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
