During a beautiful evening sitting on our backyard deck in Dayton (in =
Howard County, near Ten Oaks Rd at Morningstar Drive, west of =
Clarksville), we were surprised by a fly-over of 50 or so Common =
Nighthawks. The birds swirled by at rooftop level in small groups for =
about a half hour just before dusk and they were heading south.. Also =
noticed hundreds of Robins moving by in a southeastward direction. All =
this happened right before a cold front and accompanying rain storm =
pushed through from the northwest. Assume these birds were in a =
migratory mode and riding the front edge of the cold front. Cheers=20
