This one did not = have any obvious white tufts but, as we read, this is apparently not = always present and all the other field marks fit. We had 9 warbler species including two very drab fall-plumage Cape Mays = in the central spruces. We heard a Red-breasted Nuthatch and saw a = fly-over Common Nighthawk. We also had up to 4 Baltimore Orioles, which = was a nice life-bird for one of the new birders. Today virtually all of = the warblers were up near the mansion rather than down the stump-dump = trail. The warblers, with rough numbers were: Chestnut-sided 1 Magnolia 2+ Cape May 2 Black-throated Green 2+ Blackburnian 1 Bay-breasted 1 Redstart 2+ Yellowthroat 1 Canada 1 Steve Sanford tanager@bcpl.net Randallstown MD Baltimore County ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
