She just talked with Richard=20 Crossley who was at Johnson Sod Farm with Michael O'Brien and Evan=20 Obercian, and they report an adult Pacific Golden Plover there at=20 about 2:30 this afternoon, 9/4/01. The bird is with a group of eleven=20 American Golden Plovers. The birds are on the turf 1/3 to 1/2 mile=20 east of NJ Route 77 on Olivet Rd. (north side). To reach Johnson Sod Farm from Rt. 55 take US 40 west to the circle=20 at Rt. 77 (Pole Tavern). Take Rt. 77 south perhaps six miles to=20 Johnson Sod Farm (just north of the town of Deerfield). I _think_=20 Olivet Rd. is just south of the Sod Farm headquarters but I may be=20 wrong. Turn left (east) and look for the sod on the north (left) side=20 of the road. I'll post any further updates as I have them.
