Shortly after arriving around 7:30, I saw a Connecticut Warbler at the far end of the yard. I got two good looks at it, first a few feet off the ground on the lowest limb of a tree, second right next to the ground at the base of the dead, thistly stuff at that end of the yard. After seeing the eye ring and the gray head on the first look, I was able to confirm on the second look that the gray came well down on the throat before giving way to the yellowish belly. Just a few minutes later, I had a nice look at a male Black-throated Blue Warbler. After that, nothing but a redstart for the next hour. On my way out, a Blackburnian Warbler around the nature center was a nice addition to a short list.
