This may be the latest I have heard them sing at the house in Waldorf. I will keep listening to see how long this individual remains. Other birds of note at the house today were: 1 Imm. female Sharp-shinned Hawk (My first Sharp-shinned of the season was on August 31. An adult.) 2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds (both young) 1 Pileated Woodpecker 10 Migrant Chimney Swifts 1 Wood Thrush 1 Brown Thrasher 1 Scarlet Tanager 1 Female Rufous-sided Towhee and the usual suspects. Not much at Bumpy Oak Wetlands this AM. 3 Great Blue Heron 1 Green Heron 21 Wood Duck 1 Adult Bald Eagle 1 Black Vulture 3 Turkey Vulture 3 Chimney Swifts 3 Eastern Phoebe Yellow-throated Vireo White-eyed Vireo 2 Rough-winged Swallow 10 Cedar Waxwing 2 Common Yellowthroat 2 Imm.
