Starting at Bayside, there was NO migration to speak of, though a Merlin harassed birds on the point all morning. Eagle's Nest flats held on the prize birds of the day, Marbled Godwit. Others on the flats included, Turnstone, Sanderling, Willet, Semi Plover, 1 Dunlin, and 1 interesting bird, that I believe was a juv. Stilt Sand. I'm not certain of that though, and did not count it. FYI, I ruled out Curlew Sand due to the bird's yellow-green legs. Eagle's Nest also had 3 Sandwich Terns, while Skimmer Island had 2. The Route 50 borrow pit had 4 Stilt Sands today, only 1 White-rump, and an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull. Hurlock STP held the other prize bird of the day, Eared Grebe. This bird was in the SE cell, along the E wall. This is the cell that has most of the poles sticking out of the water. We had 14 species of warblers for the day, nothing exciting though.
