You probably know that Paul O Brien saw this bird last week. On my way to visit my aunt and uncle in the mountian of northern New Jersey Fri evening, I stop by at the Johnson Farms Instant Lawns Farms #2 Sod $ Nursery on Olivet Rd. At around 7pm, there were half dozens of birders from PA, NJ and VA already there. In a few minutes, I found one Pacific Golden-Plover with 5 American Golden-Plovers, 3 Baird's Sandpipers, 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper, 1 Black-bellied Plover and dozens of Killdeers on both sides of the road. All the birds was behind the greenhouse on the puddle at the north side. Both plovers looks similar but the pacific was paler. On Rt 40 along the fields enroute to the Olivet Rd, I observed 2 Great Egrets and 1 Glossy Ibis and possible 1 Double-crested Cormorant headed SE toward the world famous birding spot, the one and only Cape May. There were also several hundred of Tree Swallows headed in the same direction along with few Barn Swallows and possible one Bank Swallow, not sure, as I was driving.
