Anyway, I birded Meadowside Nature Center on Sunday morning, Sept. 9 and had 11 species of warblers, including a nice WILSON's in the willows by the pond. Others included Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Blue-winged, male and female Black-throated Blue, N. Parula, B&W, A. Redstart, C.Yellowthroat, Canada, and 2 Pine. Not a whole lot else, but a few of the warblers were bathing and preening in a very tiny section of creek and we watched them for at least 1/2 an hour as they moved in and out. Very interesting behavior! On Saturday (Sept. 8) at Greenbridge Rd. on the Triadelphia Reservoir ihad many of the same species along with 2 Blackburnians. On Thursday, Sept. 6, at the same location (Greenbridge Rd, out along the fireroad) I was looking for the Ruddy turnstone but instead found many Killdeer along with a SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER and Greater Yellowlegs, and a single AMERICAN PIPIT.
