We left for home which took an hour. We did see quite a good movement of warblers at the ridge. In the interests of keeping records complete, these included: Bay-breasted (5), Blackpoll (5), Blackburnian (5-6), Black-throated Green (8), Black-throated Blue (1), Canada (1), Magnolia (8-9), Nashville (3), Redstart (7-8), Chestnut-sided (6), Yellowthroat (15). Another birder had a Blue-winged. Other migrants included: Scarlet Tanager (6), Baltimore Oriole (1), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (7), Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (1), Red-eyed Vireo (only 2!), Brown Thrasher (2), Veery (1), House Wren (20), Indigo Bunting (3), Eastern Wood-pewee (10) Ruby-throated Hummingbird (4), plus a fresh Lincoln's Sparrow in the Maintenance Yard. I estimate we missed about 1/2 the birds that zipped through in the first hour at the ridge, and it slowed down rather quickly as the day warmed.
